What is MULTI-TREPANNIC COLLAGEN ACTUATION?MCA Scar Treatment/dry needling is performed using a specialised medical tattooing machine and a dry needle technique (no pigment/color is used). The treatment involves inserting a needle into the skin's surface layers, causing minor controled trauma and stimulating blood flow to the area. The procedure creates minute punctures that cause the body to produce collagen, melanin, and elastin in order to fill the wounds, promoting further healing.

MCA Can Help With Various Scarring Types, Such as:MCA Microneedling Can Help With Various Scarring Types, Such as: Correction of scars following breast augmentation or reduction Scars around the areola after breast surgery: revision or concealment Aiding in the natural re-pigmentation of white scars Scars that appear to blend in with the surrounding skin Easing burn scars to make the skin more comfortable and less deformed Promoting smoothing and filling of [atrophic] scars with indentations How to correctly prepare a scar for a beautiful cover-up tattoo
-
What should you expect after MCA procedure?Collagen, Melanin, and Elastin are produced, resulting in the formation of new tissue and the gentle healing of wounds. Scars that are bumpy and knotted begin to smooth out. Discolored scars can naturally re-pigment and blend in with the surrounding skin. Scars that were previously tight and restrictive begin to relax. It is critical to understand that the scar will appear red immediately following treatment. This is due to the abundance of collagen, elastin, and melanin in the area, indicating the re-healing process in action. The redness should fade after a few days as the body heals.
-
How many MCA treatments shall you undergo?MCA can significantly improve the appearance of scars, and while individual results cannot be guaranteed, most clients will see an improvement after just one treatment. For best results, I recommend a course of three treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Some scars, however, will necessitate more treatment.
